Cafe 96 draws steady crowds for its relaxed vibe, diverse coffee menu (Vietnamese, Hong Kong-style, specialty brews), and welcoming service. The food ranges well (French toast, roti bakar, noodles), portions are generous, and the jazzy atmosphere works equally well for solo work or group meetings, though one reviewer found a meal disappointing on their visit.
Much of the feedback is about the counter. Many reviewers describe staff who seemed rude, sighed, or ignored them, and several say orders moved slowly with one or two people working. One visitor made three trips without getting a latte or hot drink. Fans praise the matcha drinks and milk tea, and one reviewer found the matcha smooth and not too sweet. Someone else said the place was fairly clean. One visitor called the boba poor and the 50% sugar too sweet, and another had a voucher redemption go poorly.
Rated 4 across 196 Google reviews, with 65% five-star. Fans praise quick drinks, friendly baristas, and a calm dine-in space. Complaints center on toilets out of use, a ShopeeVIP promo that failed at the till, and a late order estimate. Taste splits opinion, and one reviewer found a shaken espresso mostly milky.
